Stream a clip of R. Kelly's tribute to the victims of the Virginia Tech shootings. All proceeds go to the Hokie Spirit Memorial Fund, a charity which provides grief and crisis counseling to those affected by the events. The song will be available for download May 15.
In other news, Kells has revealed information about his forthcoming release, Double Up. "Everything I did in the past, I'm about to double up on it," he explained in a statement, referring to the album's rap production feel and collabos. "Having worked with so many hip-hop artists over the last few years, I decided to throw some of that magic on my own record." "To me," Kells continued, "rap and R&B are like two hands holding one another. Double Up is about 70 percent hip-hop, but that being said, I’m always going to make songs for the ladies." Collaborations include "Rock Star" with Ludacris, "Put Some Money on It" with Rick Ross, "Pull Your Hair" with Snoop, and "Hook it Up" with Kanye West. Double Up drops May 29.
