I'm not a big Mariah fan, but I have like some of her stuff in the past.

My passion is for soul music and this song has been frequently played on an internet soul station here in the UK.

This track is the absoute NUTS an for me the best SOUL track I've heard this year. As someone else mentioned it has an 80's arrangement and feel to the sound, but that's not a bad thing in my books.

It is a shame it's not being released until November as it has a sure-fire summer-hit feel to it too.

I hope Mariah released more like this and then I will become an avid fan.

"Hello! I know I haven't called you since 1802. Actually, I haven't called anyone. I've been really, really busy and when I do get free time, I'm on vocal rest so I can like get back in the studio for 20 billion hours. So everybody's mad at me but whatever (laughs). I did get a couple of days of vacation in Capri which was a stone groove and I was happy 'cause I haven't been there since I was recording the Mimi record like three years ago. So that was nice for me.

Anyway, I was just sitting here and I was looking through some fan books and like letters and stuff that I've gotten from you guys over the years and I was like, you know, reminiscing and just realizing how stellar you are and how funny. Some of you guys are stone comedians you do know this, right? (laughs). So funny you are and how happy you make me and I decided that I needed to give you a nice call to check in and tell you that everything is flantastic.

Let's see what's going on. I'm not allowed to talk about Tennessee because they want the performance to speak for itself and everything like that but that is obviously something that I'm excited about. What can I talk about? Let's think. I'm very, very, very excited about how the fragrance came out. Remember I was telling you that it was like I had so much fun you know working on it and stuff like that and so it's really, I'm very looking forward to seeing how you guys like it, should be in stores by September and hopefully you like it as much as I do.

And yeah, last but not least, the nice songs that I've been working on, I quite enjoy them. I've written my 10th so far and like about...and I guess I'm going to Atlanta next week to work with JD so that should be a stone groove/hit wonder or at least a stone groove, hopefully (laughs). But that's about it. I'm trying to get the record out this year so I'm gonna be holed up in the studio for like the next few months and I will see you when I'm done. Also, the other bleakness is my trainer is living with me and it's bleak because I can't eat anything good and she makes me workout after I've been in the studio for like 80 trillion hours but whatever. We love her, and we love everybody.

So I will check in again but please don't take it personally if it's like a little bit sporadic because it's just because I'm working and I'm trying hard to get the nice album out by the end of this year. That is the goal. So I'm gonna wrap it up now but I love you as always. Love you, appreciate you, and I enjoy you and I will chat with you soon. Bye!"

You know that fool Mahogany was on Mariah's fansite trying to get us to shell out $2 for a song he made seem like was going to be on the new album & not a throwaway from TEOM.
I never purchased the track, but there were many who did & to top it off were robbed by a "Malfunction" on his myspace account.
There is a petition on the Mariah Carey website that is going straight to Mariah& LA Reid notifying them of this crook.

I think I would like to hear more stuff like Mine Again, Circles, I Wish You KNew. Real R&B stuff, very neo soul. Mimi had hints of it. but im still waiting for material like Lillies Blues from Glitter. Something that will make me wanna throw my shoe at her for singing so good. This is a great throw back uplifting fun song....but I want her to some Jill Scott, Erykah Badu type soulful stuff. Something with Alicia Keys would be her best bet...modern but old school.

Hey ya'll as Mariah fans and music fans we should not be concern with her songs being hits...a true artist continues to push the boundaries and try new things..that is how magic and true art is made. Mariah, I love you and I support your changes and growth. As a fan it is rare to find an artist who you can grow up with and still relate to as time goes on but with MC her songs are 'events' and she gives me joy, she makes me smile with every sung note. a) There's Got To Be A Way from Mariah Carey (debut album) - is a song about poverty

Predictable. Mariah is extremely talented vocally...but artistically I wish she tried darker territories...it's all about love being dumped, loved, or feeling it deep inside. I wish she did something different - like a ballad about the state of world we live in...poverty, depression, natural disasters, God, etc...her pipes could totally make a bold statement expressed in a dark misterious video. It doesnt have to be about the boobs and legs ALL THE TIME. Image wise she keeps it relatively the same...I wish she could crop her hair or just do something DIFFERENT. Industry peeps might want her to keep mainstream...but she's reached the iconic level that can afford her saying "no" and do whatever she wants.

I think her voice sounds particularly amazing on this track. It's got a great throw back vibe and the lyrics are wonderfully crafted. The notes that she hits really communicates the emotion. OMG!! Did anyone notice at the end the, here it comes her it come here it comes again?? That was one of the ringtones on the pepsi smash thing. I am a big a$$ MC fan ok. But I wouldnt want that 2 be her 1st single out. Ppl who arent the biggest MC fans, I dont think that its suthin that they would really wanna her on the radio. I think this song is a very interesting track by Mariah, and I personally feel it would have fit in perfectly with the overall "flow" of her last album, like Mahogany had talked about in his interview. The soulfulness of the song reminds me very much of the style of music she chose for "The Emancipation of Mimi", and sounds alot like a number of her other tracks. Namely, "Mine Again", "Stay The Night", "Get Your Number", and especially "I Wish You Knew". I could even see it being compared to "Fly Like A Bird" with it's Gospel-vibe, although "I Feel It" is far less powerful. In general, it's a great song. The chorus could have been stronger...but nevertheless, it's just another wonderful piece by Mariah, and by not being released just makes it all the more rare and significant. I'm sure all of her fans (as well as myself) are just happy they now have access to the track! :)

I really love the 70's touch of this song and yes I agree it sounds a little bit like the GLITTER album ( Okay the film was not that good but less presomptuous than the badly directed " black Dalhia" which is taken from one of the best polar book ever, has the most glamorous casting and directed by one of the biggest name of Hollywood FYI ! But once again, as one of the comments said, medias tell what they are told to tell !).
Anyway, i am looking forward to earing the next album and I hope Mister mahogany will participate on more tunes ( By the way " SPRUNG " was really good too !!!) .
I think if Mariah could have had her place in the seventies betwin Randy Crawford, Gloria gaynor, Diana Ross and all those REAL and great female singers and Mr Mahogany really noticed it too!

Personally something light and fresh with a smooth sound. I think the song is a good look because Mariah sounds so carefree and so soulful which speaks volumes to me. A fan forever!!!!

I think the song is just mediocre. Her voice sounds like it's not at full and is holding back. Don't get me wrong... I love me some Mariah, but I hope this song isn't going to be her 1st single. Cause it's not that great, but I'll still jam 2 it and want it on the album of course.
