Whether it be a plea for mercy addressed to her love-stoned muscle in "My Foolish Heart" or a self-initiated overnight rendezvous that unexpectedly turns into mornings and lasts all afternoon in "One Night Stand," Sullivan fights all of love's fears with clenched fists.
Sullivan scores orchestrated, heavily themed production from producer Salaam Remi on "Lions, Tigers and Bears" and bittersweet, flamenco-teased "Bust Your Windows." Both are reminiscent of diverse eras and genres such as Motown soul and doo-wop.
