AMERIE AND 112 TO PERFORM AT VIBE MUSICFEST THE NATION'S HOTTEST NEW MUSIC FESTIVAL

New York, NY – VIBE President Kenard Gibbs announced the latest additions to the VIBE MusicFest presented by Burger King: music sensation Amerie and three-time platinum and Grammy-winning recording artists 112 will join the star-studded lineup. The MusicFest will feature icons of the music industry, including R&B sensation Kanye West, along with Ludacris, Big Boi, John Legend, T.I., Faith Evans, and rising star Keyshia Cole. The 1st Annual VIBE MusicFest, the country’s hottest new music festival, will take place June 10–12, 2005, in Atlanta, Ga., at the Georgia Dome.

With her soon-to-be-released new album, “Touch,” and her highly touted live performances, Amerie’s much-anticipated booking for the VIBE MusicFest promises to be a performance to remember. And local boys 112’s new album, “Pleasure & Pain,” is currently exploding on the Billboard charts, with their highest ever debut. The addition of Amerie and 112 makes the VIBE MusicFest a can’t miss event.

While the nights will be filled with sounds from the nation’s hottest vocalists, in keeping with the spirit of Black Music Month, VIBE MusicFest will celebrate through a series of daytime events at the famed Georgia World Congress Center and the International Plaza. Scheduled events include a book fair, an interactive game and technology experience, fashion and beauty makeovers, and music showcases. Fest fans will also have the rare opportunity to meet their favorite musical artists, celebrities, comedians, and sports icons face-to-face at scheduled meet and greets. As an added attraction, VIBE will also kick off an informative panel and seminar series featuring senior-level professionals and inspirational speakers from music- and entertainment-related industries, as well as politics, business, and academia.
