Sonic gems from Ike and Tina Turner's "River Deep Mountain High," produced by Phil Spector in 1966. RIP Ike. 

Tina's the saint among sinners in this scenario - though, as you can hear in her voice, she never played the victim. And when Tina, Ike and Phil Spector got together in 1966 to record the River Deep, Mountain High album, you can't deny that magic happened. Or, as Tina so electrically puts it in "I Idolize You".... "YEOW!"
