HOT FIVE AT 5: Featuring Nas

With new cuts from Cory Gunz, Joe, Sammie and Young Dro

Nas - "Film"

Nas sits comfortably in his rap chair and tells another stellar story, setting scenes like a Hollywood director with this contemplative gem. With lyrics this descriptive, this cut is aptly titled.

Young Dro feat. Akon - "You Nasty"

From his forthcoming P.O.L.O. (Grand Hustle/Atlantic) Dro, teams up with the Konvict captain to rap about how he enjoys a freaky lady. Grand Hustle's second in command is playful and a bit lyrical. Maybe T.I.’s absence might not be as crippling as we thought.

Joe - "Miss My Baby"

Joe's well of ’90s jams has run dry. On this one, the bald crooner weeps about a lost love. Really though, it's Joe who's lost his way.

Cory Gunz - "Street Dwella"

On the latest of his weekly freestyles, the most known unknown rhymer raps about a whole lotta nothing. Remember when Gunz was the hottest rapper without a deal? Those days are long gone.

Sammie - "Jam On Me"

Sammie's recent string of ’net songs is comparable to Ne-Yo, but of much lower quality. "Jam On Me" sounds more like a demo of Usher’s "Love in This Club"  than something he can claim as his own. He should've kept this leak in the faucet.
