Fresh off the high of their three Grammy wins, OutKast is getting ready to film their first movie, Speakerboxxx. The HBO flick is written and directed by Bryan Barber, who also shot the duet’s eclectic videos for “Hey Yeah,” “I Like The Way You Move,” and their latest offering, “Roses.” He describes the musical as a 1930’s period piece that’s a cross between The Color Purple and Amelie. Big Boi and Andre are still composing the music for the soundtrack, which will serve as OutKast’s next album.
