After much heated debate over the selection of Justin Timberlake to co-host the Motown 45 to air on ABC, along with Lionel Richie the singer has opted out. Instead he'll film his first movie, with Keven Spacey and Morgan Freeman. Meanwhile, it's been specualted that ABC may have bowed to pressure after protestors complained about Timberlake's inclusion in the event because he's not black, and some think he allowed Janet Jackson to take too much blame for the Super Bowl halftime incident. In semi-related news, Janet Jackson also recently exited from an ABC project, a film about the life of Lena Horne. Conflicting reports have surfaced about whether Jackson self exited the project, or she was pushed out. It's also been acknowledged that Horne may have asked that Jackson not play her.
