Some R. Kelly Charges Dropped
In a pretrial hearing, Chicago prosecutors dropped seven of the 21 charges against R&B crooner R. Kelly, mainly charges involving solicitation of a minor to appear in child pornography, AP reported. However, this isn't cause for Kelly to start up the fiesta. Dropping certain charges before trial is a "matter of course in cases like this," according to a spokesperson for the Cook County state's attorney's office. No trial date has been set, but another hearing is scheduled for April 2.
