White Supremacists 'Stand Up'
Straight from Wyoming -- the state known best these days as the scene of one of our country's most heinous hate crimes, the 1998 murder of gay student Matthew Shepard -- comes another incident of racial insensitivity. Protesting an upcoming performance in Casper, Wyoming by Ludacris and Chingy, a group called the National Alliance distributed flyers all over town decrying Mystikal, the rapper who was convicted of sexual battery earlier this year but played in December at Casper's Rap Fest 2003. From the flyer: "Over a month ago, the city welcomed the rapist rapper Mystikal. Now the city is throwing out the red carpet to welcome yet another black rapper. Why are we allowing this violent diversity to be forced into our city?"
