Bill Cosby Disses Black People

Funny man Bill Cosby spoke at the 50th anniversary celebration of the Brown vs. Board of Education ruling that helped end school segregation at Constitution Hall in Washington on Monday. The old school comedian blasted "blacks who don't take responsibility for their economic status, blame police for incarcerations and teach their kids poor speaking habits," says WorldNetDaily.com. Some of his comments were, "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk." He also expressed how "the lower economic people" don't have their priorities straight—spending $500 on expensive kicks for their kids instead "and won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics." Obviously, Cosby pissed off some in attendance, which includes Howard University President H. Patrick Swygert and NAACP President Kweisi Mfume, who sources described as looking "stone-faced."
