In 2001, Halle Berry achieved an honor that even Oprah couldnt obtain- an Oscar. When Halle won an Oscar at the 74th Academy Awards® for her leading role in "Monster's Ball, she made history. It was only the second time in Academy history that three of the lead acting nominations were for black performers - Denzel Washington in Training Day, Will Smith in Ali and Halle Berry in Monster's Ball. This year, Berry will be a presenter for the 77th Academy Awards. The Oscars will be televised live by the ABC Television Network at 5 p.m. PST / 8 p.m. EST.
