Houston Rap On The Rise- Mike Jones Debuts In Top 5 On 200 Chart

Is Houston Next? With Mike Jones landing in the top 5 of Billboard's 200 chart, maybe. The Houston-based rapper's Warner Bros./Asylum/SwishaHouse release of Who Is Mike Jones? makes an impressive debut landing at No. 3, under Rob Thomas and Mariah Carey. Jones' CD sold more than 60,000 units its first day of release and topped out at more than 180,000 at the end of the first week. Who Is Mike Jones? is also No. 1 on Billboards “Top Rap” and “Top R&B/Hip Hop” charts as well as having served as the No. 1 CD on Apple iTunes.
