David Banner for his Heal the Hood campaign, and
Kanye West for Loop Dreams. Paul Wall is up for "The Breaking Woodie" (Best Emerging Artist), while M.I.A. and
Matisyahu are up for "Left Field Woodie" (Most Original Artist). Gorillaz are up for "Woodie of the Year" and "Best Video Woodie - Animated" for "Feel Good Inc.," along with
Aesop Rock ("Fast Cars"). Other nominees include
Akon, who is up for "International Woodie," and Mos Def, who has been nominated for "Alumni Woodie."
