Kenneth "Supreme" McGriff, the imprisoned druglord being investigated for his involvement in The Inc. seems to be planning to approach Jay-Z and Diddy for help funding his defense effort against charges that could possibly carry a sentence as high as the death penalty, according to The Smoking Gun.

right In transcripts of an April 29 phone conversation obtained by the web site, and used as evidence in a motion filed by a lawyer for The Inc. executive Christopher "Chris Gotti" Lorenzo, McGriff tells Gotti that he plans to "reach out to Jay and um, and maybe Puff about some shorts for like for like my investigators and stuff." Gotti seemed to support McGriff's idea, noting that the last time he saw both rap moguls "they both asked about you individually."

McGriff concurred that asking Jay and Diddy for monetary help would be logical since "they really situated real real well. Wouldn't be nothing but peanuts to 'em, you know what I mean." He also discussed a plan to write a note to the rappers and have his defense team deliver it to them.

In other transcripts of phone conversations recorded by the Bureau of Prisons, McGriff and Gotti talk about the success of 50 Cent, including his album sales, and allege that "he's staging like, like staging uh, shootings, shootings, like he creates these things." In the same March 7 conversation, they also discuss 50's potential to sell out by doing commercials for macaroni and cheese and Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Gotti, brother of The Inc. CEO Irv "Gotti" Lorenzo, is currently out on bail in the same case in which McGriff has been charged.
