The Bronx rapper, who was mentored by the late Big Pun, says she wants her lyrical proficiency to be measured against all rappers. On her website, www.remyma.com, she explains, "to be placed only among the females is limiting. I would feel like that would be cheatin' myself. I want to one day be labeled with the Jada’s, Nas', Pun’s, Pac’s, B.I.G.’s and Em’s." right On December 6, Terror Squad's sole female artist will release her long awaited album, There's Something About Remy: Based On A True Story. Pun wanted to release this project ever since he took the battle rapper under his wing seven years ago, according to Remy's representatives. The hefty rappers, who suffered a heart attack in 2000, will appear on "Thug Luv," a track produced by Alchemist. The song tells of an unbreakable bond between a Puerto Rican boy and a Black girl from the Boogie Down. A cameo by R&B crooner Ne-Yo (Def Jam) and tracks produced by Cool & Dre and Swizz Beats are some of the highlights on the album. Listen to Remy's Swizz Beats produced lead single "Whuteva," which will be released on Fat Joe 's new label, SRC Records under Universal Records.
