While Combs publicly made statements criticizing both candidates - Democrat John Kerry for neglecting to spend time in inner cities, and President Bush for neglecting the youth of America by not appearing on BET or MTV - Peter Flaherty, president of the Center, cited "Vote or Die" rallies in which Leonardo DiCaprio pushed Kerry as the best candidate for office.

Executive director of Citizen Change, Alexis McGill, told the AP that the group is proud of its accomplishments.
