Tyra Banks and Naomi Campbell Try To Reconcile

right The notoriously feuding models met on the set of Tyra Banks' show, The Tyra Banks Show, to bury the hatchet. The end to the 14-year cat-fight will end on Friday, November 18, when the show, which was taped without an audience, airs.

"The press had cast Naomi and [me] as rivals before we ever met each other," Banks said in a statement, according to People.com. She went on to add that she chose an empty studio for the confrontation because "I couldn't have done this in front of people."

During the discussion, Banks reportedly told Campbell she quit modeling because she was tired of living in Campbell's shadow, and alleged that earlier in their careers, there were 10 top models "but there was an unwritten rule that only one of them could be black. And Naomi was that one black girl."

Banks said that one reason for airing their beef now is because "sisterhood is important to me. I feel women hate on each other - we're jealous - and it has to stop."
