right In March, 50 and Game came together to announce they were squashing their beef and donating $253,500 to the Choir, which rehearses for free at the Choir Academy of Harlem, as part of a 12-year collaboration with the Department of Education.

According to The Associated Press, the choir has been asked to leave the school because it did not execute a 2004 agreement to hire a new chief executive to replace founder Walter Turnbull. Turnbull was demoted to artistic director following an investigation which decided that he did not take action against an employee who was accused of sexually abusing a student.

In addition, due to lack of funds to pay the choir’s staff, many employees were not reporting to the school on time. 50 and Game hoped to help the choir’s financial situation with it’s donation but apparently it wasn’t enough, especially since just three months prior, the Choir had petitioned the Department of Education for $705,000 - citing debts of close to $5 million – and was refused.

Despite their financial problems, Turnbull told the AP that he expects the Boys Choir to find a new place to rehearse.
