Michelle Williams Follows In Jay-Z's Footsteps

left Joining the likes of Jigga, who purchased a stake of the NBA’s New Jersey Nets, Destiny’s Child’s Michelle Williams has become a minority owner of the WNBA's newest team, The Chicago Sky. Williams became part of a selected group of local investors who will serve as minority owners for the expansion team. "I'm thrilled to have a stake in the WNBA as it expands," Williams, a Rockford, Illinois native told the Chicago Tribune. "I'm looking forward to being in the front row at Sky games and cheering them on to many championship seasons." The Sky begin their season on May 20 at Charlotte. Have a news tip? Email us.
