The Memphis, Tennessee-bred veteran MCs will become the first rap group to ever perform at the historic show, when they hit the stage at the 78th annual Academy Awards on March 5. left Three 6 earned their spot to perform at the show after their song, “It’s Hard Out Here For A Pimp,” off the Hustle & Flow soundtrack, was nominated for an Oscar in the Original Song category. “We’re going to represent hip hop to the fullest” says an excited Juicy “J” of Three 6 about performing at the Oscar’s. “We’re going to let everybody know that hip hop is not as bad as everyone thinks it is.” Three 6 Mafia’s album, Most Known Unknown, is in stores now.
