Cassidy Released From Prison

That’s because the Philadelphia MC was released from the city’s Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility on Thursday. left Cassidy was convicted of involuntary manslaughter, as well as two counts of aggravated assault and possession of an instrument of crime in the shooting death of 22-year-old Desmond Hawkins in June 2005. He has been incarcerated since that time. “While I am eager to resume my career as a recording artist, writer and performer, I am also eager to be reunited with my family, friends and fans," said Cassidy, in a January statement to the press.
