He got straight A’s.
left Hip hop fans didn’t need to tell E-40
when to go, as
My Ghetto Report Card has already gone straight to No. 1 on
Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Chart and No. 5 on the
Top 200 Chart in its debut week. This is the first time in E-40’s career that his album has debuted at No. 1 on Billboard.
The early success of
My Ghetto Report Card, which features
Mike Jones,
T. Pain,
Juelz Santana,
8Ball,
UGK and executive production from
Lil Jon, is significant considering E-40 isn’t only introducing hip hop fans to the latest slang, but also the exciting
Hyphy movement.
“It’s a movement. It's a culture. It's the way we talk. It's superflambosta,” The
Ambassador of The Bay said in a press release statement. “It's really just stunting to the up-most degree. It's showboating and showcasing. It's wardrobe. It's however you feeling. It's energy. It's a dance, several different phases of it, you dig? It's cars. It's showing off. It's whatever. It's
Hyphy.”
It’s also No. 1.
In related news, the hip hop veteran has a book of slang called,
E-40’s Dictionary Book of Slang, Vol. 1 that is slated to hit stores on Warner Books soon.
