left Jin, who got on the hip hop map by successfully battling MCs on
BET’s 106 & Park’s Freestyle Friday showcase, cleverly mocks the genre’s interest in creating controversy with, “F*ck Jay-Z.”
Jin opens the track by explaining that even if he releases a tight song with sick verses and a dope hook, at the end of the day it would only end up being another hip hop song that barely gets radio play.
However, Jin then claims he could change the fate of his song and its success, by stirring up controversy.
“Would you believe me if I tell you this? I can alter the results by adding a slight twist - same beat, same lyrics, same parts but add a
F*ck Jay-z right before the song starts,” a hypothetically-speaking Jin spits on the record.
He then goes on to state that he has no beef with Jay and instead just chose to use his name to get a message across.
“Right now you thinking, hold up--did he just diss Jay?” says Jin. “Nope, he’s one of my favorite artists till this day. The point I’m making is after that they’ll [radio] play it. You probably threw this song on just to hear me say it.”
Jin believes by starting a beef in hip hop, MCs can take their careers to the top.
