left After vowing to work together,
Senen 'Sen Dog' Reyes and younger brother
Ulpiano 'Mellow Man Ace' Reyes, have recruited the likes of
Snoop Dogg,
Warren G, and buzzworthy West coast MC,
Bishop Lamont, (a fairly new acquisition of
Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label), for their debut album,
Ghetto Therapy, due to hit stores on June 13.
"We O.G.’s," the siblings’ first single, featuring Snoop and Warren G, is slated to impact radio in May. The song commemorates the classic
G-Funk sound that the Left Coast's Warren G was known for.
“Working with him (Warren G) was one of the highlights of my career,” says Mellow about the collaboration. “To be able to sit in the studio with this guy – I remember being in awe and trying to keep it to myself. With all of the accomplishments of his career, I felt special being in the same room and watching him scratch on the turntables and add his elements to the song.”
The album will also feature production by
DJ Muggs,
Fredwreck and
B Real, the siblings’ fellow Cypress Hill crew member.
Ghetto Therapy is being released by
Latin Thug Records/Hawino Records.
