Simmons is kicking off his second
Hip Hop Summit Action Network and launching its
Get Your Money Right financial empowerment tour, which aims to “raise consciousness of the youth on importance of financial literacy in response to growing debt in America.”
right Three 6, along with other artists like
Don Omar,
MC Lyte,
Obie Trice and
Doug E. Fresh, will be part of the panel to discuss debt, banking, credit scores, wealth and other financial aspects of life.
Simmons has been the advocate of reaching out to the youth and he will continue through his network. He says, “Poverty and basic lack of knowledge must be challenged.”
The tour kicks off at Wayne State University in Detroit on March 25 and will travel to several other cities like New York (April 22), Miami (May 20), Atlanta (September 16), Los Angeles (September 30) and Dallas (October 14).
In related news, HSAN unveiled its first bi-lingual publication yestserday, March 14, entitled “Get Your Money Right.” The 184 page user-friendly workbook is split evenly between its English and Spanish versions, and was specifically designed to be used during this year's national tour.
