Bloods, Crips and Other Street Gangs Get Together to Make Rep Yo Set Album
left Distributed through Universal Records via Robert W. Lewis’ Reputable Records and Big Chuck’s Drama Family Entertainment, the most deft MCs from 30 separate LA street gangs are ready to show listeners how to Rep Yo Set.
“We wanted to give back to the communities,” says Lewis about the double-disc, Rep Yo Set compilation, which is scheduled to hit stores Aug. 8. “Our urban communities have produced some of the best and most talented rappers out there, i.e. the Game and 50 Cent.
“Rep Yo Set is providing an opportunity to channel and redirect negative energy into something positive!”
A photo shoot for the Rep Yo Set album cover is scheduled to take place Saturday, April 15 at Phat Efx graphic designers in LA, and will feature numerous members of each gang.
