Now, the hip hop business mogul is speaking up about the President of
Def Jam.
left “My best friend did some sh*t to me that I never thought in a million years he would do,” the
New York Daily News learned Dash says in the upcoming issue of
King Magazine about Jay-Z. “It was straight war in there. Either you on Jay’s side or Dame’s side.”
Dash goes on to state that it wasn’t true that he lost his deal and that instead, the
Roc tried to freeze his projects. In addition, Dash adds that he was perceived as the “violent guy,” the “Bin Laden” of the equation in comparison to Jay-Z, his former business partner.
However, despite disagreeing with the way Jay handled the situation and how it unfolded, Dash expressed that he has no ill will toward
Hov.
“I don’t respect what he (Jay) did, but I’m not gonna let that wash away all the other stuff we did do,” Dash tells
King. “For the most part, he’s a good ni---.”
The June issue of
King Magazine, including the Dash feature and
ATL star
Lauren London on its cover, is tentatively scheduled to hit shelves April 25.
