The Chi-town native has been gaining notoriety for his featured verse off Kanye West's, “Touch The Sky”, and “Kick Push,” his lead single from his debut album Food and Liquor, scheduled to hit stores on June 27 on 1st & 15th/ Atlantic Records.

right Fiasco, who already cites Jay-Z and Kanye West as personal mentors, understands the importance of making significant music.

"What you put out in the world comes back to you,” said Fiasco in a press release statement. “You actually change the world with what you do. I want to put some good in the world."

Alma Geddy-Romero, the festival's organizer is happy to have Fiasco as part of the lineup.

"Adding an artist of Lupe's stature makes a strong connection with the young hip hop fans looking for an artist that represents their struggles,” Geddy-Romero said in a press release statement. “When I first heard 'Kick Push' I knew that Lupe was a special talent and we had to have him for the show."

The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival is set to take place on Saturday, June 24th at the historic Tobacco Warehouse.

Although it's a free event, you must register for a ticket on the festival’s home-site at: www.Brooklynbodega.com

More artists are expected to be announced soon.
