right Fiasco, who already cites Jay-Z and Kanye West as personal mentors, understands the importance of making significant music.
"What you put out in the world comes back to you,” said Fiasco in a press release statement. “You actually change the world with what you do. I want to put some good in the world."
Alma Geddy-Romero, the festival's organizer is happy to have Fiasco as part of the lineup.
"Adding an artist of Lupe's stature makes a strong connection with the young hip hop fans looking for an artist that represents their struggles,” Geddy-Romero said in a press release statement. “When I first heard 'Kick Push' I knew that Lupe was a special talent and we had to have him for the show."
The Brooklyn Hip Hop Festival is set to take place on Saturday, June 24th at the historic Tobacco Warehouse.
