However, a new report now claims that the world-renowned supermodel cursed and spat in a security guard’s face just months prior to Thursday’s incident.
left According to the
New York Daily News, when a security guard asked Campbell not to sit on the barrier during a
U2 concert at Madison Square Garden in October 2005, she responded by calling him a "f*cking a-hole" and told him to go, "f*ck himself," before spitting in his face.
Campbell, who was invited to the concert by U2’s lead singer
Bono, was not escorted from the venue despite her reported actions. A source to the
Daily News however, claims that the guard filed a harassment complaint with police, but the case was closed because Campbell’s alleged actions were deemed as rude and not harassment.
This recent development was a surprise to
David Breitbart, Campbell’s lawyer.
“Since the latest arrest (March 30), I have been trying to investigate the complaints that have been made in the past,” Breitbart told the
Daily News. “I have never heard this one.”
But this revelation and last Thursday’s alleged incident are only the latest additions to other complaints filed against Campbell.
In 2003, the London-born runway queen was sued by a former administrative assistant, who claimed that Campbell threw a phone at her two years earlier in a Beverly Hills, California hotel.
Campbell could face up to seven years in prison if convicted on assault charges from Thursday’s incident.
