left Pimp C, an
Underground King himself, recognized and understood why T.I. began calling himself the
King of The South to the point where he jumped on his
King album to break it down.
“When young ni--- T.I. jumped out there and said he was the
King of The South, he ruffled a whole lot of ni----‘ feathers, but ni---- really didn’t understand what the ni--- was talking about,” says an intent Pimp C at the end of the “I’m Straight” track off of T.I.’s King LP. “So everyone had it twisted, but me, I understood from the get-go that what the ni--- was trying to put in these motherf------ faces was the fact that there’s a whole bunch of Kings down here and as long as you’re taking care of your business and doing king sh--, you’re a king.”
As Pimp C’s nearly two-minute long rant continues, he tells MCs that instead of taking offense to T.I. proclaiming to be the
King of The South, they should have got closer to the star of
ATL to understand what type of game he was running.
Pimp C is scheduled to release his solo album later this year.
