right According to Reuters, Snoop and his 30 people entourage were on their way to Johannesburg, South Africa, for a concert, when the rapper and his squad attempted to enter the British Airways' first-class lounge. Tensions apparently flared when they were denied access to first-class because of their economy-class tickets. At that point Snoop and his entourage allegedly became rude and abusive to the airline staff, summoning police to tend to the situation.

The incident then became physical, as seven police officers received cuts, bruises and other minor injuries. “Members of the group became abusive," a police spokesman told Reuters. "Six members of the group (including Snoop), all aged in their 30s, were subsequently arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and affray." Snoop was held in custody till Thursday (April 27), when he was released on bail. Peter Binning, Snoop’s lawyer, has vowed that his famous client will be able to continue touring in South Africa. "He (Snoop) will now continue his onward travel to South Africa to complete his concert commitments there," Binning told the assembled media at London Heathrow Airport. "He has not been charged with any offense." Snoop is scheduled to headline three concerts to be held during the next five days marking the 12th anniversary of democracy in South Africa. The concerts will also feature Pharrell and R&B crooner Mario.

In related news, two other rappers were arrested in a Puerto Rico airport for allegedly smoking during a flight. The Ying Yang Twins, who were scheduled to perform in St. Martin, were apprehended after exiting a layover flight from Atlanta to Puerto Rico, at the local airport. The donkey-noise making duo never made it to their scheduled performance.
