In addition to Daz and Kurupt, aka Young Gotti, Cali Iz Active features appearances by Tha Dogg Pound Family (Snoop, RBX, Soopafly, and Bad Azz), as well as B-Real, Busta Rhymes, David Banner, Paul Wall and producers Battlecat, Fredwreck, The Alchemist, Jazzy Fay and Diddy. With a stellar cast like that, someone needed to assume leadership responsibilities. Good thing that the big Snoop Dogg stepped up. right “I'm like the quarterback,” said Snoop Dogg via a press release statement today (April 4). “Putting the team together, gluing it together. I'm the one that puts everything in the proper perspective. Get everyone thinking alike, moving alike, loving alike. “Let everybody know that it's built on love first. If we love each first, the music will kick right in.” Behind Snood’s steady guidance, Daz and Kurupt feel like Cali Iz Active is going to shock people. “We just came back together and made a classic Dogg Pound gangsta album,” says Dillinger.

“Some of the original G sounds with a new twist, new millennium G sh*t!” adds Kurupt about Tha Dogg Pound's new album. In related news, Tha Dogg Pound also announced today that they will open for Ice Cube in a national tour, which is scheduled to kick off on April 20th in Anaheim, CA and run through June. “I'm letting everybody know that the West Coast is definitely making a strong comeback,” said Snoop later in the press release statement. “Tha Dogg Pound sound is fresh and fly. It's a beautiful thing for me to be able to work with them, and when we drop this album it's gonna shake the whole game up! Chuuch.” Over ten years ago, Tha Dogg Pound scored big with their multiplatinum-selling debut album, Dogg Food.
