Dead Prez to be Honored in Revolution! at The Apollo

Revolution!, which is being presented by Imagenation in association with the Apollo Theater, is also scheduled to honor Lee Daniels (Producer, Monster's Ball, The Woodsmen), filmmaker Thomas Allen Harris (The Twelve Disciples of Nelson Mandela,) and Warrington Hudlin (filmmaker/President of the Black Filmmaker Foundation). right The event, which will be hosted by M1 of Dead Prez and fashion editor Michaela Angela Davis, will also feature performances from the likes ofMartin Luther and fittingly, Dead Prez themselves. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster. The proceeds will go towards the opening of the Imagenation Soul Cinema, Harlem's first independent cinema dedicated to films from the African Diaspora, which is scheduled to open Fall 2006.
