Although the terms of the settlement were reached Monday (May 15), the exact details haven’t been disclosed as of press time. According to The Associated Press though, Sean Combs’ attorneys Jack Strauch and Jonathan Davis had the intentions to start a hearing on a motion to dismiss the lawsuit on Monday morning. However, after a lunch recess the two parties had settled. right Cedrick Bobby Lemon, who filed the lawsuit in May 2002, claimed he was wearing an identification badge that permitted him to stand backstage at a 1995 concert by Mary J. Blige. Combs, who was Blige’s manager at the time, allegedly had bodyguards clearing out the backstage area to escort Blige out of the Joel Coliseum. However, Lemon alleged the bodyguards punched and kicked him in the head and broke his ankle, while clearing the backstage area to make way for Blige. As of Tuesday afternoon, Bad Boy confirmed that Combs himself hasn’t released a statement regarding this lawsuit settlement. Diddy recently was honored, as he was listed in the Time Magazine: 100 Most Influential People issue.
