DJ Khaled Excited About Listennn...The Album
However, Khaled does make it clear that he needs the support of his fellow DJs. The official Terror Squad DJ, who has been a staple of the Miami hip hop scene for more than 13 years, believes that solid results for his Listennn LP can open doors for other DJs to release their own albums. Just Listennn:
“Get that chain reaction going … it’s called support,” an extra animated Khaled told Hot 97 radio host Angie Martinez Wednesday afternoon (May 24), about his hopes of other DJs backing his LP. “We’re (DJs) always put on the backburner, but they need us.”
right Khaled is so keyed up about his debut album, that he even hyped up the project at the baby shower for Fat Joe’s baby daughter.
Khaled does have a good reason to be excited, considering his album features the likes of Trick Daddy, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, The Game, Kanye West, Fat Joe, Nas, Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss.
“I got Beanie Sigel and Jadakiss on one song,” Khaled told Martinez, about pairing the former rival MCs. “That’s not normal.”
Listennn…The Album hits stores June 6 off of Koch Records and Terror Squad.
