During a live, exclusive listening session of their new
Blood Money album, on Monday (May 1) at New York's hip hop radio station,
Hot 97,
Prodigy and
Havoc of the
Infamous Mobb Deep, told radio host
Angie Martinez that they have settled their differences with
Def Jam President Jay-Z.
“We had a little meeting with Jay,” disclosed P, who credited Mobb Deep manager
Storm with making the meeting happen. “Management set it up.”
right Having been part of a group that has been a staple to the New York City hip hop scene since 1993, Havoc felt qualified to express a plea to fellow NYC rappers listening in.
“New York gotta stick together,” Hav said. “We have no time to be hating on each other.”
Tuesday (May 2) the M-O-B-B released their
G-Unit debut album,
Blood Money. The highly anticipated album features guest appearances from
50 Cent,
Lloyd Banks,
Tony Yayo,
Young Buck and
The Queen of R&B and Hip Hop Soul Mary J. Blige. Mobb Deep was riding the New York City subway system and meeting and greeting fans in support of their new album.
Mobb Deep’s, “Put Em In Their Place” and “Pearly Gates” continue to enjoy solid radio rotation in New York City.
