T.I. and
Yung Joc performed earlier that evening at the
Bogart’s nightclub, but according to the
Cincinnati Enquirer, the trouble apparently began when words were exchanged and a fight broke out at the after-hours party at
Club Ritz.
Witnesses said the problem started because members if T.I.'s entourage were throwing money to the crowd from the stage, an action that upset some of the male party-goers.
right Words were exchanged between some of T.I.'s friends and a group of men in the crowd, and the tension reportedly intensified. Witnesses saw T.I. trying to get his group packed up in their vans and was heard telling his boys, “Come on let’s go. Let’s Go.” The Cincinnati men allegedly responded, “Yea let’s go.”
A witness then said shots were fired at the vans. The one person dead was confirmed as a member of T.I.’s entourage, although that person - and the other three individuals - haven’t been named as of yet. T.I. was not hurt.
The incident shut down about three miles of the southbound lanes of the I-75 for several hours.
