Therefore, it was only right for the two artists to fuse their talents and hit hip hop fans with an eclectic album. Ali & Gipp are slated to release their collaborative album, Kinfolk, on Aug. 15. “It’s simple and plain. You know, we two Midwest boys. That’s how we kick it. It’s Kinfolk,” Ali exclusively told Vibe.com. “I think you’re going to get a great album. It’s almost like a Midwest, Southern mixture, just like a gumbo. There’s nobody on this record that doesn’t belong, there’s no forced issues. Everything out there came about because it was meant to be.” right Kinfolk puts Ali & Gipp alongside the likes of David Banner, Three 6 Mafia, the rest of the St. Lunatics, Cee-Lo, Bun B and Pimp C of UGK and Juvenile. The interesting duo is especially excited about their lead single, “Go ‘Head.” “Ali really called me one night from St. Louis. He was like, ‘Yo, we just need that one, one song that’s going to make everything right,’” Gipp revealed. “And he called me one night, he was like, ‘I found it.' “I think you going to be surprised because you dealing with two of the oldest members of our crews. I feel like you can’t do noting but expect the best from us,” adds Ali.
