Bad Boy's Babs Arrested, Pleads Not Guilty

Babs was arrested and jailed for allegedly threatening a woman and keying her car in Brooklyn, NY on Saturday (June 24). She pleaded not guilty earlier today (June 26). Apparently the drama began when two women showed up in front of Babs’ Brooklyn home, accusing the rapper of dancing and flirting with the boyfriend of one of the women. "They all know each other and were having a good time at the party. We didn't think anything of it at the time" says Babs’ rep Alyse Feldman of On the Fly Public Relations, who also attended the party. The women then asked Babs to come out and talk to them. After claiming that the women made threats about her family, Babs and her two friends eventually made the trip to the house of the woman with the boyfriend. "They threatened not only me but my family and anyone that knows me knows I don't play when it comes to my family" said Babs via a statement, explaining why she felt the need to go to the woman's apartment. One of the women then called the police after claiming to have seen someone, believed to be Babs in a red hat, key her car. right “The woman knew Babs was the one wearing the red hat, so of course she is going to say it was her,” says Feldman. “She wants Babs to pay for supposedly trying to steal her boyfriend. The charges are absolutely ridiculous!" Nevertheless, Babs was arrested and spent the night in a Brooklyn jail. A restraining order requiring Babs to stay 100 feet away from the woman was also issued. Babs is now scheduled to appear in front of a grand jury on July 22nd.
