Dallas Austin Jailed in Dubai, Awaits Trial

The famous producer, who has worked with the likes of Michael Jackson, TLC and Madonna, was arrested at Dubai’s airport on May 19. Dubai officials decided to not release details of Austin’s arrest immediately. right Austin is charged with possessing illegal drugs for personal use. Various press reports in Dubai allege that Austin was headed to supermodel Naomi Campbell’s birthday party at the time of his arrest. Austin produced 2002’s Drumline and the recent film ATL, which was supposed to be loosely-based on the lives of Austin and TLC’s T-Boz growing up in Atlanta.
