DJ Quik Begins Five-Month Jail Sentence
Judge Keith Davis ordered Quik to begin serving his sentence of 150 consecutive days immediately.
right According to police reports obtained by the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin Quik pulled a gun on his sister during an argument in 2003. Last year, after pleading guilty to the assault, Quik was ordered to serve 45 days in jail on weekends.
However, Quik, whose name is David Marvin Blake, never served the time and thus, violated the terms of his probation.
Quik has produced for the likes of Jay-Z and The Game. Quik released his last album, Trauma, in Sept. 2005.
