Donell Jones Returns With New Album

Well, after releasing his last album four years ago, Jones is finally back with his new LP, Journey of a Gemini. right Jones, who’s responsible for hit songs like, “ U Know What’s Up,” “Where I Wanna Be” and “This Luv,” explained exactly why it has taken him so long to drop an album this morning on Power 105.1’s morning show.

“I was on LaFace (Records). That got shut down. Then I went to Arista,” Jones said. “In the process my album kept getting pushed back.” While his album was getting pushed back, Jones took the time to record special songs like a, “Portrait of a Woman.” Jones also revealed that he offers an apology to a woman that he “did wrong” on Journey of a Gemini. Jones’ last album, Life Goes On, was released in 2002.
