Now, Jackson is poised to recapture the essence of that album with her new aptly-titled compilation, 20 Years Old, which is slated for a Sept. 26 release on Virgin. Without going astray, Jackson will once again team up with legendary producers and her longtime collaborators Jimmy ‘Jam’ Harris and Terry Lewis. This time however, her boyrfriend Jermaine Dupri will also serve as the album’s executive producer. “Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis are musical powerhouses,” said Dupri via a press release statement sent to Vibe.com. “Our individual success have been unparalleled and have kept music fans bouncing to our beats and singing our songs for years. The world has no idea what they are about to experience – Janet has the best production trio possible – and I guarantee, we will deliver!” right The album’s lead single is scheduled to be, “Call on Me,” featuring St. Louis hip hop icon Nelly. The single is scheduled to arrive at radio stations across the country on Monday, June 19. 20 Years Old will celebrate Jackson’s longevity, creativity and influence in the recording business and in pop culture. Her 1986 classic LP, Control, included hit songs like “What Have You Done for Me Lately,” “Nasty,” “The Pleasure Principle” and the self-titled track, “Control.”
