Cuba Gooding Jr. and Damon Dash Team Up for Shadowboxer Film

In the directorial debut of Lee Daniels, Gooding plays Mikey, a trained assassin on the run with his wife, as they delve into an emotionally-charged underworld of organized crime. In addition to the aforementioned group, the film also stars Helen Mirren, while Mo’Nique has a role, too. right Dash and longtime business partner Kareem 'Biggs' Burke are among the co-producers for the film.

Daniels, who was the producer of the Academy Award-nominated Monster’s Ball and The Woodsman, continues to tackle controversial social issues with this new thriller.

The movie was filmed in Daniels’ hometown of Philadelphia.
