In the skit, Chappelle is seen partying in a nightclub, when all of a sudden the club’s DJ, played by The Roots renowned drummer ?uestlove, announces that he’s going to spin a new exclusive Tupac song. However, when ?uestlove throws on the record, Chappelle himself is doing his best Tupac impersonation, rhyming in a similar tone and drawl of the great slain rapper. The twist in the skit comes when Chappelle, rhyming as Tupac, speaks about issues and items well past his 1996 death, such as the popular Blackberry phones, President George W. Bush securing enough votes and the war with Afghanistan. Chappelle takes the skit to an extreme when he rhymes as Tupac about observations in the club. He points out a stain on a young lady’s clothing and warns a guy not to hit the table, before assuring the club crowd that he “wrote this song a long time ago.” right “I wrote this song a long time ago, a real long time ago. Feel me,” rhymes Chappelle in his best Pac drawl. “I wrote this song a long time ago. It was the dopest song I ever wrote … in ’94.” The skit ends when ?uestlove says, “Tupac, rest in peace” on the microphone and Chappelle as Tupac on the record replies, “I will [rest in peace].” Comedy Central is scheduled to air two more of Chappelle’s Lost Episodes.
