Fat Joe Gets Personal on New Me Myself & I Album

Featuring artists such as The Game and Lil Wayne and production from the likes of Scott Storch, The Runners, DJ Khaled, LV and Streetrunner, Me Myself and I will have Joe speaking on the utmost personal issues. “Lyrically I'm showing my vulnerable and gangster sides,” said Joe in a press release statement. “One of the most personal songs on the album is “Maria,” which I dedicated to my mother. I was able to open up and talk about very personal events in my life that I haven't been able to put into my rhymes before. "This album is really my most up close & personal you've ever heard. I'm showing all sides and letting fans really get to know who I truly am.” While the Bronx don shows willingness to open up to his listeners, he also hasn’t forgot about including his usual dose of hard street stories. right “Clap & Revolve,” Joe’s lead single, has the Puerto Rican/Cuban MC spitting hard over a tough Runners-produced beat. The track has been gaining radio rotation at stations in areas like New York City, Washington D.C. and Miami. In related news, Joe will head out on an European tour for the first time in his career beginning on Friday (July 28) in Portugal. From there the Terror Squad general will hit Germany, France, Switzerland and Denmark, before ending the excursion in Norway on Aug. 8. "This tour has been something I've wanted to do for years,” said Joe later in the statement. “I'm so glad I've found peace with flying and am able to finally hit the overseas market. This will definitely be the first of many European trips for me.” Joe had not traveled via the air for 10 years, before finally overcoming his fear of flying two years ago. He has since become comfortable flying to the point where he agreed to be one of the hosts for Europe’s version of Pimp My Ride, which has already taped episodes earlier this year in Amsterdam, England and Poland.
