Rasheeda Ellis, a former assistant of Brown’s for a short period of time, accused the Brooklyn rapper of threatening and abusing her via phone calls and emails. However, despite not showing up, Brown was able to narrowly avoid a warrant for her arrest, when Ellis failed to appear yesterday, as well.
right According to the
New York Daily News, a Jersey City official said that Ellis mistakenly went to
Hudson County Superior Court, instead of
Jersey City Municipal Court.
The trial involving Brown and Ellis has now been rescheduled for Aug. 23.
In related news, Brown still must face charges in
Manhattan Criminal Court over an alleged assault of a nail salon manicurist, which was filed over a year ago.
