According to The Daily News, the incident ignited when Mo’Nique’s stylist - who sat in coach in a flight headed to New York where Mo'Nique was to guest host on The View - stashed the star’s hair-dryer in a first class bin. The actress claims that members of the flight crew approached her about the issue in a rude and disrespectful manner, calling her a “threat.” right As a result, an enraged Mo’Nique was thrown off the flight, though she eventually boarded a later one. "I felt like I was being treated like an animal," said Mo'Nique, "This happens to black people all the time and they don't have a voice. I have a voice," the New York Daily News reported. And her voice is being heard, as her representatives claim she’s planning to take legal action and encourages all African Americans to boycott United, despite a public apology the airline issued soon after the incident. Mo'Nique's publicist Marcell Pariseau said, "Mo'Nique has no intention of speaking to anyone at United. She was humiliated by what some United employees did to her. She'll leave it up to her lawyers." Have a news tip? Email us.
