Heckard is suing Jordan and Nike founder Phil Knight for a combined $832 million in Oregon’s Washington County Court. Heckard is suing Jordan for defamation, which includes pain and suffering. He’s suing Knight for defamation, too, claiming that the Nike founder used him to help promote Jordan. right In an appearance on Stephen A. Smith’s sports talk show, Quite Frankly, Heckard said he believes he should be compensated for helping to pull Jordan’s wagon. Heckard also accuses Jordan and Knight of robbing him of his lifestyle. Despite being visibly older and six inches shorter than Jordan, Heckard claims that his shaved head and earring are enough to get him mistaken for MJ. He also says people mistake him on the basketball court for Jordan. “Even when I go to the gym I'm being accused of playing ball like him (Jordan)," Heckard told Portland television station KGW.
